I’ve made a hungarian EAC audio CD grabbing howto. You can read and comment it here.
Yesterday evening Michal Urbaniak Band played at the Budapest Palace of Arts. I’ve recorded the whole concert. I was totally amazed, I liked the music very much.
The quality is the same as previous bootlegs: it was recorded with my M-Audio Microtrack with it’s factory default stereo mic. There’s a lot of reverb, and the low-end of the freq spectrum is very muddy.
I don’t want to offend the mixing engineers at the Palace of Arts, but the mixing was (sadly, like on the other concerts) awful. Mika’s voice was quiet, Urbaniak was too loud, high frequencies were cut, low-end was boosted too much.
I hope you’ll like this recording in spite of the annoyances – this is quality jazz music.
I’ve streamed some songs to my friends using Ableton Live and didn’t forget to record the Shoutcast server’s output :)
This is my first attempt for a completely live chillout mix, so there are some mistakes, some of them are quite disturbing, but I think the mix is enjoyable at all.
Yesterday evening Kronos Quartet played at the Budapest Palace of Arts. I’ve recorded the 2nd part of the concert.
The quality is the same as the previous Steve Reich bootleg‘s: it was recorded with my M-Audio Microtrack with it’s factory default stereo condenser mic and it’s noisy built-in preamp. There’s a lot of reverb, and the low-end of the freq spectrum is very muddy.
I hope you’ll like this recording in spite of the annoyances.
Tired of new Winamp5’s memory and CPU consumption? It’s slow for you? You want a simple stuff that does it’s job – playing music files – smoothly, without problems? Then Nonoo’s classic Winamp pack is for you!
My new project is a mailing list called Erdei házikó. It’s about chillout/downtempo/jazz… music, see the full list on the project page.
Sorry for the english-speaking readers, this list is in hungarian language only.
I’ve made a video about how my latest mix was made.
